technical workforce development - Train the Trainer

Train The Trainer

DeepTech has initiated courses for high school teachers, community college lecturers, and university academics to develop future technical talent. These specialized courses aim to pique trainers’ curiosity about STEM and motivate them to consider the field’s possibilities for innovation. A five-step procedure that guarantees course quality allows trainers at all levels to get customized and focused training. Teachers can thoroughly understand semiconductors and become acquainted with related industry applications by attending inperson and online training programs. Following the course, these educators will understand the most effective ways to help pupils become more knowledgeable and enthusiastic.

Enhance The Existing Programs

To expand training access, DeepTech will collaborate closely with partners at the universities, community colleges, and related government subcommittees to assist in scaling up current programs to address expanding needs. Our specialized industrial incentives program can incorporate existing models to guide future investment choices in semiconductors.

technical workforce development - Educational Capability

Expanding Student Opportunities and Educational Capability

To double the number of graduates in subjects related to semiconductors, new academic and teaching staff members, as well as updated and new educational facilities, would be needed. The DeepTech R&D Office will look into ways to support these resources in universities, colleges, and other local training and education establishments. Target-based funding could assist in reskilling incumbent personnel in the semiconductor business and assisting in training early career talent by expanding the availability of instructors, facilities, and equipment. The DeepTech R&D Office will also look into ways to support student opportunities in priority research fields, such as traineeships, apprenticeships, fellowships, and internships.

Establishing and Expanding Regional Mediators

A key objective of DeepTech is to build robust regional workforce ecosystems that can extend access to well-paying employment generated by DeepTech investments and satisfy the workforce skill demands of the industry. This plan’s cornerstone is empowering competent regional intermediaries who can collaborate with various community and educational partners. Employees of DeepTech will collaborate closely with incentive beneficiaries to ensure enough regional capacity is developed to meet the aggressive demands for expanding the workforce, particularly for technicians. Opportunities for manufacturing incentives also greatly support sectoral alliances, which unite various firms and partners within an area.
